Warranty Information
Drainvac Central Vacuum Power Units
All Drainvac central vacuum power units come with a conditional ten-year warranty for the original purchaser at the original installation address. This warranty covers the entire unit, excluding items that require regular replacement, such as filters or carbon brushes.
Cleaning Kits and Motor Brushes
These items are covered by a three-year warranty. Any parts (excluding filters) needed within the first year will be provided free of charge by the Authorized Dealer who sold the power unit.
Warranty Service
If there is no Authorized Dealer nearby, Think Smart Built-in Systems will honor and perform warranty services if the power unit is returned to the factory with prepaid freight. This warranty does not cover commercial applications, power surges, misuse, abuse, acts of God, or unauthorized repairs.
Power Surges
Damage caused by power surges is not covered under this warranty.
Alternate Warranties
If you find a more comprehensive warranty from another central vacuum manufacturer, Think Smart Built-in Systems will honor that warranty if a complete copy of the alternate warranty is provided.
Proof of Purchase
Keep all payment records (bill of sale/delivery slip) as they establish the warranty period. Proof of purchase is required for warranty service.
Warranty Conditions
To ensure your warranty is honored:
- Install the unit in a location where the temperature does not exceed 40°C.
- Keep vents free of obstructions for proper air circulation.
- Do not use the appliance to vacuum superfine dust such as drywall dust or cement.
- Always use and replace filters as needed.
- Clean the permanent filter when necessary.
- Have the power unit serviced by a Think Smart agent annually.
Important Reminders
- Never vacuum fireplace ashes, talcum powder, or similar fine particles.
